Erm...
Neanderthals where most definitly NOT aggressive. If they had been, we wouldn't be here today to talk about them, as they did indeed have larger brains and muscles. Neanderthals are, at the risk of being politically incorrect, 99% likely to be white. English-folk white. This is simply because they evolved in Arctic climates where such a skin type wouldn't have made sense (darker tones arose in Humans to combat the negative effects of UV radiation near the equator, thus reducing the risk of skin cancer).
All primtive races are hunter/gatherers of sorts. There is no real knowing how Neanderthals would have developed, had they founded a civilization.
I know this is just a fantasy civilization, but the surrealism of it just made me itch :P
