Spacecraft of the Romulan Star Empire in the late 23rd century. The Romulan bird-of-prey was painted with an impressive predatory bird, and was equipped with a cloaking device and a powerful plasma energy weapon. Propulsion was simple impulse. The ship was equipped with a pratical invisibility screen. Fortunately, it was learned that the cloaking device required so much power that the ship had to decloak in order to fire. A Romulan bird-of-prey crossed the Romulan Neutral Zone in 2266 in a test of Federation resolve.
