Original Description/Intro:
^^Slash and Burn
^^From hunter-gatherer, through slash and burn, to the future...
^
^Deep in the jungle of the Amazon basin two peoples struggle to learn to cope with a
^difficult environment. They need innovative and inspiring leaders to show them the
^way to learn, grow, and thrive. The year is 1500 and time passes in months. Though
^mostly the two seasons are variations on one theme, hot and humid, one is even
^wetter. Beware flooding. Nature is not kind, and she is not learned in "fair."
^Place permanent structures on terra firma and flooding will not wash them away.
^The soil is thin here. The rivers large, slow, and rich. While there is abundant
^life in the forest, there is a lot of forest room in which it can wander. Even the
^rivers wander there at times.
^
^^IMPORTANT
^Please do read at least the start of the readme.txt file included. Play in this
^scenario is significantly different from normal game play. Losing the first village
^to anyone represents defeat and the tribe will dissolve. Game mechanics required this.
^
^The lowland Tucuna and highland Marubu tribes are intended for human players. The
^'Forest' and 'River' are the computer run wildlife and designed to be static. The
^Mayuruna are antagonists also. None of these three is likely to be much fun.
