Recon units and Warrior monks are designed to be stealthy but they die before they can get that promotion. This mod adds stealth, buffs recon stats, etc.
Features:
1. Recon units and Warrior monks get stealth by default. They don't need Camouflage nor Twilight Veil promotions. This ability does not apply to barbarian units.
2. Recon units and Warrior monks ignore zone of control (ZOC). This ability does not apply to barbarian units.
3. Recon units and Warrior monks can see other stealthed units.
4. Recon units and Warrior Monks get +7 CS when attacking Ranged and Ranged Cavalry because stealthed units are hard to shoot at.
5. Recon units and Warrior Monks get +7 CS when defending against ranged attacks.
6. Recon units are affected by Oligarchy government and Oligarchic Legacy policy.
7. Skirmisher and Ranger get Priority Target like Spec Ops.
8. Scotland's Highlander ignores movement penalties in Woods, Rainforests, Marsh and Hills.
- Highlander needed a buff. They have combat strength boosts in Woods and Hills, might as well give them faster movement.
9. Tweaked Recon units' stats. Switched Ranger and Field Cannon in the tech tree.
- Recon units are always cheaper, defend in melee better and unlocked earlier. Ranged units always have more ranged strength and longer range.
- Scout - 13 melee
- Okihtcitaw - 23 melee
- Skirmisher - 32 melee, 33 ranged
- Warak'aq - 32 melee, 43 ranged
- Ranger - 52 melee, 54 ranged, 310 cost, 4 maintenance. Unlocked at Ballistics
- Highlander - 57 melee. 59 ranged
- Field Cannon - Unlocked at Rifling
- Spec Ops - 72 melee, 75 ranged with a -10 CS penalty when attacking non-adjacent targets.
10. Bug fix. Removed erroneous Ranged tag from Ranger and Inca's Warak'aq.
11. In Heroes mode, Sun Wukong also ignores ZOC, can see other stealthed units and has combat strength bonus vs ranged attacks.
- Sun Wukong is basically a Warrior Monk.
