A LOTR fantasy universe scenario based on the war of the ring by Nell Smith.
Mod files rescued from Apolyton backups and repacked in 7zip by Blake. Successfully tested in Civ2 MGE. Also there was no Title.gif so Blake added one for fun. Missing sounds download located by Blake and added to zip.

Original Description/Intro:
^^THE BATTLE FOR MIDDLE EARTH
^
^^The objective is all-out conquest and there are 600 turns of one month.
^^The War of the Ring has caused chaos amongst the Wizards, meaning that
^^it takes about 20%% LONGER than usual to research new advances.
^
^^There are six races, each starting in a different part of Middle Earth_._._.
^^Sauron and his warlike hordes lurk in the rocky land of Mordor.
^^Saruman's plain of Isengard is protected by mighty mountain ranges.
^^The green and grassy Shire is the land of Frodo's home-loving Hobbits.
^^Gimli's Dwarves build their mines in a vale of resource-rich hills.
^^Aragorn's Men of Westernesse have settled in pleasant countryside.
^^Galadriel's Elves live peacefully deep in the forests of Lothlorien.
^
^^__Frodo and Aragorn are probably the easiest to play, Sauron and Saruman the hardest.
^
^^As the game begins, Middle Earth is in crisis_._._.
^^The Ring Wars have caused much unrest, and bands of Wild Orcs plague the land.
^^Sauron is at war on many fronts, and is almost universally despised.
^^Saruman fares a little better, but nobody likes him.
^^Frodo, Aragorn, Galadriel and Gimli are all, more or less, good friends.

^^Of course, all will change, and the Battle for Middle Earth will not be easily won!
