A LOTR fantasy universe scenario based on the war of the ring by Jon Tyler.
Mod files rescued from Apolyton backups and repacked in 7zip by Blake. Successfully tested in Civ2 MGE. Also there was no Title.gif so Blake added one for fun.

Original Description/Intro:
^The Third Age of Middle Earth is waning. Sauron seeks dominion over all. The
Elves have diminished and Gondor is weakened. Rohan is besieged by Saruman.
But a hope remains.....
^
^The One Ring, a powerful talisman created by the Dark Lord Sauron, has been
found by a hobbit. The only hope of Men and Elves is to destroy the Ring in
the fires of its creation. So Frodo Baggins, with his trusted companion
Samwise Gamgee, sets off on a journey to Mount Doom to destroy the Ring in
the fires of its creation.

^Gondor and its allies must hold off the vast armies of Sauron while Frodo
and Sam make their difficult journey. Have they succumbed to the power of
the Ring? Have they been captured? Is there any hope of defeating Sauron at
all?
^
^SPECIAL NOTES (See 'readme.doc' for more details.)
^No technologies may be acquired by conquest.
^Negotiations between anybody are not permitted.
^Government switching is not permitted.
