William Walker of the Republic of Sonora, Nicaragu 2016-10-05

William Walker was an American filibuster who in 1853 set out with 45 men he called "Immortals" and invaded Baja California, Mexico, he set up the Republic of Lower California and later annexed the Mexican state of Sonora, and established the Republic of Sonora. However because of the lack of popular support he soon fled back to America. He was put on trial for an illegal war, but was not convicted. He later became the 4th president of Nicaragua.
