I started having the same issue in one of my games and also an issue with my game crashing when I chose to Return to the Main menu from a game, so...
This happened to me when I enabled UC-Fresh Water Works Mod. But it just seems to affect the Main Screen and not revert it back to R&F.
Yes, unfortunately that is a bit of a pain, but the only way. Let us know which one causes it.
Interested to know if you still have the map search problem. I had it without this mod until I used the Map Search Extension Mod, which by the way...

Brian, the author of this mod, did improve hills a few weeks ago. And, yes, Higher Hills Mod seem best for those playing without this one.

@Ferocitus, is it me or the amount of bugs in GS and patch 1 are considerably more than in any other release?
Over on Stream, AspyrBlair responded that the hot fix is coming tomorrow morning for Mac and, I am guessing, Linux as well.
