Welcome to Team Fortress 2 Mafia, hosted by choxorn and kill fire. As you can probably tell from the name, this is a mafia game based on Team Fortress 2. It contains characters, weapons, ideas, memes, insane psycho killers, and all kinds of other crazy things from the game that never really was on your side. It contains some experimental things were not fully sure of, but if all goes according to plan, this game will be totally awesome, and well worth the wait of the 2 or so years since kill fire thought it up.
Of course, however all these things turn out, they depend a lot on people being active, so please be active, vote, and use your abilities. Or well be sad, and well have to put on you into the Inactive Hall of Shame.
If youre unfamiliar with something about Team Fortress 2, go check out the TF2 Wiki.
Read the rules, preferably multiple times (and especially before you ask any questions)! This is not your typical mafia game, not that most of the games we have here could be described as typical anyway.

Spoiler :
This game is divided into two phases: Day and Night.
Day
Night
For some reason or another, in game or not, I might not be able to update on time, but I'll have it done as soon as I can, so don't panic if I the deadline comes and I'm not around.
Day
Spoiler :
Day is 48 hours long.
During the day phase, you vote for a player who you want to be lynched.

Abilities
Spoiler :
Every player in the game has an ability given to them by an item. The items are really just for flavor, mostly weapons from the game, sometimes other things. They dont drop on death like the items youre used to, they just tell you what ability you have.
For any ability which is Active, we must receive a PM at the appropriate time detailing your action, or nothing will happen. Passive abilities will happen regardless of whether you send in a PM or not.

Hit Points
Spoiler :
This game uses a Hit Points system. Every player starts with a certain number of Hit Points, between 100 and 300. Some things can damage you, and lower your hit points, and some things can heal you, and increase your hit points. If you hit 0, you die.
Lynches
Spoiler :
Every player MUST vote during the Day Phase for a player to be lynched by the town. Votes must be bolded. Vote: Tags are optional. For a retraction, you must either strike through (If you dont know how to do that, it is done using the [s][/s] tags) your old vote or Unvote: it. If you do not strike through or unvote properly, then your old vote will still be tallied. FOLLOW THE RULES, IT ISN'T DIFFICULT. Voting is mandatory, and if you do not vote for two days, we will send you a kindly reminder via PM to get your gluteus maximus to the thread and vote. If you don't vote for a third day in a row, then we will get a replacement. Five missed votes total (not in a row) will also cause you to be replaced/WoGed. If we cant find a replacement, you will be WOGed, regardless of who your character is. Abstain and No Lynch are not allowed.
Special Rules: The lynch in this game doesnt quite work the same way it does in other mafia games. Whoever gets the most votes will take 50 Damage per vote, Whoever gets the second-most votes will take 10 Damage per vote, and Whoever gets the third-most votes will take 5 Damage per vote. Anyone who is lower than third wont take any damage from the lynch. This means that yes, it is possible to kill more than one person in one lynch (or zero people, if the votes are spread thinly enough), and being in second or third place many times isn't something you want.
Exceptions: On Day One, all of these totals will be halved (rounded up for third place), and as soon as there are only 10 players left, the voting will change to normal, where whoever gets the most votes will be lynched and nothing happens to anyone else.

Communication
Spoiler :
All forms of Private Communication are allowed unless they break the laws of physics or something similar ridiculous, but wed like it if you forwarded it to us, especially the links to the billion quicktopics you end up creating for your evil schemes.
You can talk during both day and night unless otherwise stated (for example, if the phase has ended and were about to post an update, well probably say to not post until were finished with it).
If youre dead, you cant Privately Communicate anymore, except in the Dead QT. You can say stuff in the thread, but no revealing anything thats not already public, and you cant do anything to help either side. Feel free to make snarky comments and curse the name of the people who killed you, though, or that sort of thing.

Please wait a bit before posting, so we can reserve a few posts for whatever the heck we need them for.
