battle notifications

Hello forum I've got an ordinary notebook with 15' and 1366x768 resolution. So when my 3 or 4 of my units get attacked I receive enough dark blue colored battle notifications to not be able to see anything or comand my units to fight back. Is there a way to hide these messages or make them smaller?
