Players should be able to guarantee the independence of City States. Whether this is tied to those who you are suzerain of, or not. Guaranteeing would give you a free envoy, but would mean you are automatically called to war if they are attacked. Other Civs would then have something else to...
Playing on the new Terra map type I experienced that some tiny changes can improve the challenge of a deity game a lot: The reduced size of the main continent caused a lot more wars than usually, which forced me to delay some of the snowballing stuff (expanding, rolling out culture/science) -...
This has been discussed a few times, I believe, but not very fruitfully IMO.
The issue: the AI still overvalues using Great Diplomats for Influence.
In my current game I have managed to create 7 City State Embassies so far (late Modern), making up a third of my World Council votes (and I'm the...
So I've searched the github for the keywords revolt, revolution, rebel, rebellion, and I've only been able to find info about city state quests and vassal liberation, but not cities revolting to its own city state. Can someone point me in the right direction to find the function(s) related to...
MEANINGFUL COLOURS
@Sylvestrina made on Steam awesome mod. I did little modification and some fixes. It's main task is group city states into 5 types and assign similar colour group to them:
:c5food: Maritime: Green ~ Teal
:c5culture: Cultured: Pink ~ Violet
:c5gold: Mercantile: Yellow ~...
"Meaningful City-States Colours"
I made some fixes and modification to very useful mod from Sylvestrina - "Meaningful City-States Colours". His/her version is available on Steam.
Modification of colours makes CSs even more distinct. All colours can be seen in special .odt file inside the...
Specifically, I mean to ask if there is any way to allow City-States to utilize Caravans and Cargo Ships to make their own International Trade Routes. I'm aware that there is a mod allowing City-States to use Settlers, but can they also be made to use Trade Units?
It doesn't matter if I give a CS 1 lvl spearman or 6 lvl tank, I would get the same amount of influence.
It should scale with strength and number of promotions of the unit and scale inversely to era, so it's not too weak early game and not too powerful late game.
Good Afternoon modding community. I just found both the free time and the courage to try and create a new city state, and every time I load a test scenario with the city state in question, I get this heart-wrenching error:
"Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamap...

Hello, I've recently stumbled across a very frustrating and abusive bug--At least I hope it is a bug since it's quite abusive and annoying to deal with in the game.
1: You have to have Amani and Suzerainship of a city-state
2: You have had declared war on another player (so the city-state then...
Didn't find a threat regarding this in r&f, but mods, feel free to merge if so.
When watching quills and marbozirs LPs, it seemed that the AI was extremely happy killing all the CS's again. Wasn't this a major problem of the summer update from last year? And did anybody else notice this when...
In some games, usually playing king or emperor, I have often seen City States take on a Civ during wartime and capture a city. In one game, a City State took Washington DC, which ended up being razed ! It's interesting that the "one city challenge" applies to City States where they are unable...
Okay, so here's the deal, I am the proud author of the Portugal and Belgium mods. My issue is that Brussels and Lisbon still spawn in-game. I'd like to replace those two when my Civs are enabled. Maybe replace Lisbon with Tripoli and Brussels with Dublin. if anyone could help that'd be awesome...
In Civ 6, city states are kind of dysfunctional. They sometimes have rebel issues, usually can't build a navy and have housing problems. This is usually due to them only being allowed to build the district they specialize in. This doesn't make that much sense, city states should be allowed to...
Good day, Suzerains! Spice up your City-States action with 7 Caribbean City-States! These City-States support wonderful Yet (not) Another Maps Pack True Starting Locations, beautiful custom icons, and dashing wiki-based Civilopedia text! These City-States will appear randomly in all game modes...
Ahoy, Suzerains! A new City-State type has arrived to Civilization VI: the Maritime City-State. This mod will is required to run any of my City-State packs error-free. The automatic dependency system for mods is unreliable, so ensure this mod is Enabled in the Additional Content screen any time...
I conquered a city state (in this case Buenos Aires) and it is occupied. I wondered if it might have to do with their previous owner as they had been conquered before, but they have no claim anymore. In a weird series of events they were conquered by Rome, I liberated them for the Australian...
