I'm having difficulty figuring out:
- How can you tell when a city is going to expand? (i.e. like in Civ5, the accumulation of culture toward border expansion is clearly illustrated.)
- Is there a way to identify which tile the city is going to...
I am playing as the Aztecs on an Inland Sea Map. The Inland Sea is one of those maps where their are boundaries North, South, East, and West so you cannot pan to east/west to loop around the map. So I meet the French and they invite me to one of their cities which brings my view on to Paris...

Is there a way to get resources without building a city next to it?
If not, is there a way to expand your borders, like you would in Civ5 with a general?

Is this possible? I've hammered down defenses and just seem to be stuck in a loop of shooting at what seems to be an empty city? Do I have to use a melee unit to occupy it?
Situation: at war with pedro, conquer capitol, get a city in peace agreement, annex it, in your notification/actions queue (right side of the screen) you get a hammer/city select production notice. Immediately sell the city back to pedro for all his gpt.
Bug: the select production notice...
Sid has cares about the environment. In this screenshot, the AI value the forest more than the city. That's real love for the Earth.
But seriously, I was at war with Justinian and after I bombard the city, the AI just started moving their troops out of the city and into the forest. Probably...
