immortals

Hi, Despite what I have read I can not make that my Immos take cities. I have assigned a keyboard key to "Attack" command but they always make a ranged attack, adjacent to the city or two hexes away. Any hint?

Hiya, playing on Vanilla, with the latest patch, just bought Persia and Macedon. So apparently in the 2017 fall update, Immortals were changed so they would melee as their normal attack and would only use ranged if the ability was selected. On the version I am running currently (1.0.0.229)...

In my current game with Cyrus I took God of the Forge as my pantheon in order to churn out Immortals. God of the Forge should increase production for all Ancient and Classical era military units, but as you can see in the screenshot it is not taking effect. Any ideas if I'm missing something...
