[1.0.6.9] Gifts of the Nile Scenario Crashes Turns 28-30

Was playing Gifts of the Nile scenario last night as Egypt, game was running smoothly until Turn 28 when I got a pop-up error that promptly closed my game. I didn't manage to save the error code in time (instinctively just clicked the button to have it be sent to support), but found it replicated on this Reddit thread. Essentially, it seems as if the scenario is entirely unplayable and will crash regardless of playing Egypt of Nubia. It looks like this glitch was somehow introduced in one of the latest updates, as there's seemingly no documentation of it beforehand (as late as August people were still discussing strategy). Error code below:

I had the same thing happen to me.
My game version is 1.0.8.4 and I was playing as Amanitore.
I tried reloading a couple turns prior to the crash and doing things differently but it still crashed. Restarting also didn't work. The game crashed again in the same turn. I think it was 28.
