I've noticed that the quest in the exploration era for getting a Man at Arms, Crossbow, and a Knight doesn't complete if you're playing as the Normans, since their unique unit replaces the Knight and that doesn't count apparently, but there is a chance I somehow missed its oddly strict requirements so who knows.
Also, there's an event in the Antiquity era that can give you 200 gold or +30% prod towards Merchants, observing before and afters between the 2 turns, it kinda looks like the Mississippian's unique merchant doesn't count as a merchant for its effects, despite the fact the unique merchant counted as one for an earlier quest to build 1 merchant that was either a Mississippian or Pachacuti unique event.
Seems like an oversight since some events take into account for the unique stuff, but some don't.
The norman one was experienced pre 1.1.1, the merchant one was tested on 1.1.1.
