Proposal Details
Overview:

The Infiltrators promotion (T4 ranged/siege/skirmisher) is a promotion that can at times be powerful, while at other times even detrimental, and generally enough a headache that leaves it unattractive against its competitors. This proposal seeks to make the promotion more consistent and attractive.

Proposal:
Infiltrators promotion:
+25% CS outside friendly territory, +25% CS when attacking wounded units, -15% CS if adjacent to a friendly unit
+15% CS outside friendly territory, +15% CS when attacking wounded units

Addendum:
The current adjacency modifier stacks with multiple units.
This is expected to be a net buff, but should still be on-par with other T4 promotions.

Proposal Details
Instead of removing the adjacent friendly unit component entirely:

Infiltrators
+15% CS outside friendly territory, +15% CS when attacking wounded units, +10% CS if not adjacent to any friendly unit

This makes the total +CS the same if fulfilling all requirements while not conditionally penalizing the unit.

Good point, looks like a typo. I'll remove the line, but the intent of the proposal is clear enough that I don't think revoting is necessary.
 
The adjacency modifier refers to the current effects of the promotion, which was included in the original text of the proposal.

AKA the "-15% :c5strength: if adjacent to a friendly unit" stacks.

So is it still applicable or did you edit it out?
 
It's still applicable. In fact, the text referring to the current promotion is still there in the original proprosal with a strikethrough.

No idea why it's been edited out for the version in the OP.

My understanding was that it was a previous version of the proposal that you amended, but I see now it was part of your rationale. Strikethrough text is inherently confusing so it should be avoided in proposals.

Edited it back in.
 
I still don't understand. This proposal still does not refer to adjacent units:

do you mean:
+15% CS outside friendly territory, +15% CS when attacking wounded units. -15% CS per adjacent friendly unit.
 
oh jeez, That took a while. Then I don't know what he's referring to? For the following example: +25 +25 +30 -15 = +65. This happens on both preview and damage calculation. If it was per adjacent friendly unit, then this example would work out to a total of +35.

I don't like nerfing this promotion. I always go for the extra combat bonus, and this is the only other promotion I might take. I suggest more specific bonus promotions instead, like +15% combat effectiveness while this unit is wounded for example
 
Huh. Give me a day or two to check how things work again, because if this is true, then I might have just wasted everyone's time. Woops.
 
I voted Nay, because I understand "infiltrators" as lone warriors, who are trained to operate alone outside their own area, and especially to fight damaged units behind the front line. If they meet these conditions, they should do great damage. But both proposals reduce this power, and I cannot see, how this could make "the promotion more consistent and attractive".
 
@azum4roll seems that your proposal will go though. I can implement all of it, that's easier than splitting up dll and sql changes
