1.61 error

when i try to play the 1.61 version of the game, one error occurs with me:
the game suddenly closes after a few turns on the scenario mode, then the file themeparselog appears, with the lines:
[May 13, 2006 - 14:57:03] Messages while processing 'Resource/Themes/Civ4.thm'

Error : Decl - ('Civ4Theme_Common.thm', Ln:401, Col:13) Assignment source propertyId 'SF_CtrlTheme_Civ4_Control_Font_Size3_Italic' not found
Error : Decl - ('Civ4Theme_Common.thm', Ln:402, Col:13) Assignment source propertyId 'SF_CtrlTheme_Civ4_Control_Font_Size3_BoldItalic' not found

I don't know what's causing this, sorry, but it looks like some sort of missing fonts problem, maybe???

Have you tried completely removing the game then reinstalling from scratch? Hopefully this will replace whatever files are missing or broken.

you must have a broken string file somewere

do what velvet suggested and if it dosent work i suggest you play without 1.61

and you english is fine

AHA!! I think I have the answer to this!...

I've just re-visited a topic in another forum where someone was trying to play the current Game of the Month (created for use with v.1.61) with an earlier version of the game. By upgrading to the latest version she was able to open the file to play.

The error message was pretty much identical to what you pasted at the top here so I would guess that the scenario you are playing is 'locked' somehow and will only work with the specific file version of the game that it was created on (a different version to what you are using now).

That doesn't help you with the scenario error but hopefully means there is nothing wrong with your game installation or fonts etc!

so if there is nothing wrong, i'm gonna download a new scenario, made for the 1.61 version, and see if the same problem occurs again!!

That should do the trick, I hope! I've read quite a few times now that older mods don't work with the latest upgrade, and also Game of The Month files prepared by the staff here (they can only be opened with the same game version they were created with), so it probably applies to scenarios as well.
