+1 carrying capacity all naval units?

Quick question. I'm adding a tech to my mod's tech tree (Colonialism) and one of the things I would like it to give is +1 carrying capacity for all naval units--or, failing that, for all "carry-anything" naval units.

My question is whether and how this might be possible. I don't see anything in the XML. Is this a python thing, or an SDK thing? Because if it's the latter, forget it :lol:

Hopefully some other modder had this idea too and already has python I can look at for it!
 
you can make a promotion that gives +1 capacity. Then make it available with that tech, and give it via some building (harbour/port/ship builder).

In my mod I made a promotion path called Transport, chooseable after ship building. (first give +1, second +1/-20%strengt and third +1/-1 movement point)

That way there can be some seriously heavy (but slow and weak) transport ships, but also f.ex a frigate with a Transport I, can carry 1 unit.
