I'm on the record as being horrified by the kids at this high school, but seriously, when did talking about killing high school girls, even really awful ones, become cool?
As far as I know, "gay" is still a general pejorative for anything unusual or wrong.
Suzana Vidovic found her sister's body hanging over the front lawn. The family watched, she said, as the girls who had tormented Sladjana for months walked up to the casket and laughed.
That doesn't change the fact that it is a direct reference to homosexuality, and one intended entirely negatively. The two are not mere homonyms. It's more like a pejorative for anything the speaker doesn't like and wants to insult. E.g., "Nintendo is Gay"
I think these "girls" need some psychiatric help. O_OSuzana Vidovic found her sister's body hanging over the front lawn. The family watched, she said, as the girls who had tormented Sladjana for months walked up to the casket and laughed.
The same time that talking about killing dictators and other people not fit to be alive became cool.
i.e. since decades ago.
Describing snotty teenagers as "not fit to live" is a symptom of the problems I'm talking about, not an explanation or a justification.
snotty teenagers is a vast understatement. These girls are inhuman and sociopathic. It shows complete disregard for human life. they are just a short step away from Hitler imho. If they had the power Hitler had they'd probably do the same thing.

This just bolsters my belief that the only solution to bullying is raising your kids to know to never let themselves be bullied. Horrible as it is psychopaths like these other girls will always exist and you will run into them, and most people aren't prepared for it. I'm not trying to say it is at all this girls fault for being weak and giving in, most people aren't psychologically prepared for that sort of thing. I think parents need to get better at teaching their children to stand up for themselves, because that's the only way bullying can end. I can't see intervention by authorities really helping in these kinds of situations, we just need to impress upon our kids that they don't have to take abuse like this. Kids need to understand that it's okay to get right back in a bully's face and tell them to "F off" and sometimes it's okay to knock somebody's freaking teeth out. Never a good thing, but you have to deal with bullies on their level, instead we pump our kids full of turn the other cheek BS and they end up like this poor girl.
