Going off of the completely dumb ideas thread, I just thought this would be pretty amusing. I'll start of with:

1. You're surprised when you find out that the U.S. is the only world superpower instead of Spain or Turkey.

2: You believe that Tibet used to occupy Morocco and Yemen.

4. Every time you go to a museum, you see artifacts from a particular area and think "Man, I need to play as those guys in DoC when I get home!"

Wow, that's really cool.

5. You wonder how people in the Middle Ages successfully besieged a city in 100 days while it takes you 100 years just to blow up the walls.
6. Going off of 5, you wonder why people didn't just mob the enemy with Curassiers instead of besieging a city.

7) Your atlas is almost falling apart with over-use
8) You now think all cities sound better in their native names: Xianggang, Muqdisho, Moskva, Venezia etc
I think the English speaking world really needs to ditch the English versions of city names.

7. You think of all the young folks on the forum and how they're learning more about
world history in this subforum than they are likely learning in their actual history class.

10. Your dream vacations are to the most settled cities in-game.

11. You forget how the original version of the game plays like.

15) You forget that Judaism is a thing.
16) You are surprised that Jerusalem is disputed by the Israelis and the Palestinians instead of the Seljuks, Arabs, and the Greeks
17) You look at a modern-day world map and wonder where the Mughals are

18) When you look at a map you are surprised of how big Russia is, and wonder when they colonized all Siberia

19. You're surprised that the Black Death killed 1/3 of Europe, because in DoC plague only can halve a unit's HP.

20) You realize you've learned twice as much history through DoC as formal education

Most likely, civs in world life used espionage to support a city revolt before wiping out defences with huge stacks. Saved them time.

21.) You believe that world life Rome must have WB'ed more legions. There is no freaking way you could've made Roman roads all over the Mediterranean and still had enough time and troops for conquest.

22.) When camping in the desert, you feel more afraid of Seljuks coming out of nowhere than you are afraid of snakes or wolves.

Easy, they were playing on Marathon.

23) You wonder how Denmark was able to get colonies in India irl, because Sweden (which is clearly the same country) doesn't get the Trading Company event.
