1000 turns maximum for a c3c scenario?

i might be the only one here that likes a scenario without a forced retirement time after certain amount of turns...

but i think 1000 turns is too little..i like a game with no restrictions..and i dont get why firaxis love restrictions so much (max turns, max city improvement in city view, etc.)

but if i dont check a time limit i get a force retirement at 540 turns, and when i check on it, 1000 is the maximum i can put... who comes up with these numbers?.. any way to increase beyond these?

sorry for my bad attitude..im just pissed...again.... that this "expansion" is not that much better than the quality of the previous "expansion"... or what i call..over glorified patches..
 
Have you ever played a 1k turn game? I would probably be bored out of my mind, even if I was not, it would take forever.
 
If this is true, I would rather have a true no time limit. I wonder if this is a bug.

BTW I can see no reason to maintain the
+20 hitpoint limit.

i'm not arguing that the 1k max is enuff or not..i just dont understand why they have this fixation of setting max settings for everything when theres no need for em ( and later turns out that they are hardcoded and "hard" to reprogram them)... thats just plain bad coding and planning
 
And about the city-view, has anyone gotten their new wonders to show in the City View? I built the Moluseum (i think that's what it's called) AND IT DIDN"T SHOW IN THE CITY VIEW! WTH! This is un-modded too!

Yeah I don't understand that either

esp. the 8 terrain types maximum really bugs me
 
the city view doesnt display the new wonders...and in scenarios the city view and the palace are disabled and no way to get around that....

another example of firaxis' wisdom in their coding planning

and black rose..yes....the 8 terrain limit is annoying as well.. as is the 5 cutural groups for the city display..... i wonder if theres a max on govnt types

AMEN papajhons! ... AMEN!!!... I feel the exact thing.... bad planning and annoying limitations...

About the view, I think they left the new stuff out to make it easier for modders to put sth in it. Since putting sth in the view is lil hard as I understand it.
I think someone explained that somewhere here at CFC or CDG.

they made it harder on themselves prob cuz of bad planning.. they went for the "easier to do early on...screw scalability" framework...
