11 Public officials arrested in New Jersey Corruption sting...

@MB, the difference is that Craig is a prominent Repub,

Errrr. I had never heard of him before he tapped his toe. Prominent? /shrug. Never heard of him before this scandal on him.

Amazing how so many rugged-individualist stand-on-your-own-2-feet conservatives become such martyrs when they (incorrectly) think that some democrat bad guy got "let off easy" by a bunch of losers in an internet forum. ;)

So many? Try one. None of the other rugged conservatives took that arguement up as we knew better....

These guys didn't go to trial yet. Wait for the facts of the case to come out and the jury to make its decision. We've all seen how an overzealous District Attorney can fudge things and make people look bad for his own advancement. I need only say, Duke Lacrosse.

Innocent until proven guilty.

about time they made these arrests. unfortunately NJ will just elect more corrupt people.

How is this news? Its Jersey this is expected, come on ...its Jersey!!!!!

The state of Torricelli!

Hey, someone's got to clean up Jersey politics...so good job, should this whole thing bear any fruit. Either way, we'll find out if they're convicted or go for plea deals.

The state of Torricelli!

Mmmmmmmmm pasta!!!

My aunt is looking to get into Jersey politics. She could clean it up and she's starting with her beach on the towns beach comity!

You gotta be kidding me. You guys say this here, and remain silent on all the spamity spam we get when a republican taps his toe for example?

puh-leese.
Again, begging does not help your argument, MobBoss. You know full well that a bunch of republicans at much higher level than these 11 democrats have been done for corruption.

The Republicans and the Democrats try to paint the other party as the most immoral and the most corrupt. At this they both succeed.

Mmmmmmmmm pasta!!!
I love pasta!

My aunt is looking to get into Jersey politics. She could clean it up and she's starting with her beach on the towns beach comity!

Hey, I know a guy who knows a guy. He could help with...err...cleaning.

That said, it would take some new blood in those stagnant circles. Just like New York.

The USA needs not just one more, but many more Operation Greylords to even get close to cleaning up.

That is all.

Why don't they just put all politicians in jail to being with? I think this might save a lot of time and effort.

corruption is corruption. partisanship is irrelevant.

I'm with the "It's Jersey!!!" crowd. I suspect most politicians are corrupt though in some way.

They couldnt take the decrease in population hit again so soon after Katrina.

Hey maybe you'll get your wish this hurrican season. :p
Besides I remember that whole Kstreet corruption scandle in which some 57 Republicans and 18 democrats (something like that) made really big headlines and I got all excited

looks like it got swept under the rug.

Well, remember when Hardball was having a ticker of electeds that took X amount of money from the Abramoff ring? Yeah, so much for that.

Though most of them scrambled to look at "charities" in their Rolodexes.
