As you can see in the images, Wu Zetian has a "+" in the alliances column, so I click on it. I ask to form a new alliance, but Wu rejects the treaty. Back to Trade Opportunities tab, the "+" has dissapeared :confused:

I don't know if it's possible to know if an alliance will be rejected or not. If it's possible, then this is a small bug in Trade Opportunities tab.

The + shows when it's possible to propose a deal. Getting an AI to accept that proposal depends on a variety of factors. I'm uncertain if we can check when AIs would be willing to accept a deal, but I'm still working on this, so I might find something. The trade-deal part of Civ 5's vanilla code is written very strange so it takes a lot of time to figure out. :)

It looks like the "resource demanded" icons and border/RA turns remaining are showing up correctly, so that's good. I haven't received a response yet to my question in the main modding forum about if we can check alliance turns remaining. It's done differently than the others.

Just quietly, I would prefer the :c5plus: to show as it does now as opposed to when they are guaranteed to accept it.

It's pretty immersion breaking if you only ever see leaders for them to say yes. I like having to haggle occasionally.

Sorry to hijack this thread but I just saw this error...I asked Genghis if he'd like to attack Gandhi, and wanted to know what he would like in return. He is offering me negative gold per turn and a couple of resources to attack Gandhi?? :confused:

I suppose I could just imagine that he is begging me to let him attack Gandhi...haha. By the way, the trade did go through! As in, he did attack Gandhi after I clicked 'Accept'.

I remember that bug from a while ago - leaders will declare war on whoever you tell them to, as long as you do it through trade, and will absolutely beg for the chance if you ask them for an offer.

I wasn't aware it was still present.

In my current game, only Alexander and Genghis fell for it. Washington refused to attack even though I threw bricks of gold at him. Hmm. Maybe the bug only affects warlike leaders.

@Delgar
That is a vanilla bug, and as far as I know it's not fixable with a mod. I never use the "declare war" option on trade screens for that reason. I could remove it if you think it's too much of an exploit.
