150 Million H1N1 vaccines

Anybody find this a little eerie, that they (big pharma) have produced enough vaccines for 1 out of every 2 men, women, and children in America?

Not only that, but they are promising to donate 150 Million more to China?

I know we had a similar fight against polio.... but this isn't polio. It's a slightly deadly flu. Am I the only one that finds the prospect of 150 million American guinea pigs just a tad unnerving? I mean even major side effects begin to add up into the thousands, if not tens or even hundreds of thousands.

And what is with the crisis shocks? Whats all this 9-11 bulldink, then economic market crash, black president. I mean, everything seems to be swirling into a very unstable plastique brew powdered with xenon trioxide. Either it is well orchestrated, but I must admit, there is something chaotic and evil about it, but there also seems to be some strings being pulled. I really can't tell. Is the world fating towards chaos and war? It feels like it to me.

I mean, once you get one universal flu shot, soon, every flu scare is going to have everyone running back the next year. We will all be toxic flu petri dishes, just cranking out better mutations. How do we know these weak little dudes aren't going to have a couple of lucky strikes against human bodies, and mutate? Next year, we get triple swine flu, now in 3 new flavors. It just seems to me, 150 Million doses is just asking for trouble. Especially since it takes 2 shots. I mean, one shot, 4 weeks later, 2nd shot. What if you get it H1N1 in between? What if it becomes a pandemic in between? We won't even know if it was the vaccine or the disease itself.

I guess what I am saying, is something evil, this way comes.

Sorry something funny happened on t.v.

It's a slightly deadly flu.
It's actually a less deadly flu at least so far and given the side effects of the vaccine the last time it was trotted out in response to a scare, you won't catch me in line for the shots.

Don't worry, big pharma will ensure, that this vaccine will be field tested all over the world. Just imagine what amount of data we're going to get! And with Africa being too poor to afford it, we even get huge control groups! We're going to know every single possible side effect of this vaccine.

We all have to make sacrifices for the greater good of medical science!

I'm not really all that worried about it, but my office gives out yearly flu shots it seems, so if the new one is ready come October I'll probably wind up getting it. While I realize how much of a non-event this flu is in death count, I understand why businesses would be upset about losing up to 40% of their workforce for a week or two.

Of course if it's required for school or work, then people will take it, twice. No question, every single one of them. I just wonder if our attempts to control a not that bad disease will blow up in our face.

It just seems to me, since September 11th, things have gotten a bit out of whack. Things just keep getting stranger and stranger, more and more alarmist... the population is being kept in a high state of agitation and emergency, which is absolutely necessary for successful fascism.

Did you know that there is evidence Bayer sold AID's tainted hemopheliac injected medicine in the 1980's overseas, and was colluded by the FDA? They shipped the risk overseas.

''Can we in good faith continue to ship nonheat-treated coagulation products to Japan?'' a company task force asked in February 1985, fearing that some of its plasma donors might be H.I.V. positive. The decision, records show, was yes.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but I can tell you I won't be getting the shot. I think unless you're very old(65+) or otherwise immune-impaired(AIDS; Chemo) it's a huge waste of money. Personally, I think the drug companies are grasping at anything they can since the outlook on their former profit drugs looks bleak.

Supposedly this one is more likely to affect the young, from 9 yo - 24 yo especially. Another oddity about this.

I'm getting the shot. I come in contact with hundreds of snotty nosed germ factory little kids every day, and just about everybody is getting sick. Three of my co-workers have already gotten the swine flu. I'm not taking any chances. If a shot can decrease the risk of me getting sick, I owe it to myself and to my kids to get the shot.

Read this for the explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cytokine_storm
So we have this bug that kills through cytokine storm...that is it affects those with very active immune systems; and they tend to over-react to the bug, and kill themselves. CDC has said that target groups for initial immunization are young adults and, particularily, pregnant women.

I highly recommend at least skimming through these articles:

The quotes on this page are pretty amazing:

I don't plan on getting vaccinated, the whole ordeal appears to be prepackaged and rushed. You can say they are rushing to save us, but why are they making such big assumptions about how deadly and widespread this will be? No one has predicted epidemics before.

Hmm, why are allot of Swine Flu virus vaccine's being made when it's not life-threatening?

Because it's a the bloody Flu! We vaccinate against it, because it does kill some people, and it's a headache for the rest of us. We pay good money to be rid of the flu, and pharmaceutical companies are happy to oblige.

Well the Australian government has ordered over 20 million doses (one for everyone) before it's been tested. I dare say that if it was likely to be some drug that could do damage, then it would not have been ordered/will not go ahead. You can't criticise government for responding quickly to a potentially dangerous health problem.

I've already had the swine flu, so I should have immunities already against H1N1. No shot for me. Course, I never get a flu shot anyway. Never enough for the whole population, so make sure some kid or elderly gets mine, eh?

The H1N1 flu is quite a bit worse than the 'normal' flu in virulence. It's infected more people in California this summer than were affected by all flu last winter.

Additionally, vaccines are one of those things that needs to be done fully if we're stop a disease. We need about 70% of the population immunised, or else the virus will continue in the wild population.

swine flu is a minor inconvenience, but i guess it is worth getting the shot to avoid the flu.

I think i might've already got it in Venezuela, i was quite bad for a week and a half... I solved it by eating nothing but Yogurt and Bread for that time.

And will you be doing this every year from now on?
