Just notived that the Patronage opener provides a bouns from gold gifts to city states. This feature has been disabled however.

Guess I should have explained better.

If CSD is turned on you've removed gold-gifting to CS'ses. That kind of makes the bonus from gold gifts useless.

(or am I missing something here?)

Oh, right. I'll change it to a diplomacy unit production bonus when in CSD compatibility mode.
