Problem:
- We don't have enough beliefs for enough religions to support larger games

Solution:
- Add more beliefs

Proposal:
split the current veneration follower belief into 2 beliefs (+1 :c5faith::c5science::c5production::c5food: in the City; 10% of the cost of:c5faith: Faith Purchases in this city is converted into :c5culture:Culture and :c5gold:Gold)

New Follower Beliefs:
Indulgences
+1 :c5faith:Faith in a City for every 10 :c5gold:Gold per Turn it produces, capped at half the Followers in the City.​
10% of the cost of :c5faith:Faith Purchases in this city is converted into :c5gold:Gold and :c5science:Science.​

Gurukulam
+1 :c5faith:Faith in a City for every 5 :c5science:Science per Turn it produces, capped at half the number of Followers in the City.​
10% of the cost of :c5faith:Faith Purchases in this city is converted into :c5culture:Culture and :c5food:Food.​

Change to Mendicancy:
Remove the +1 :c5faith:Faith in a City for every 10 :c5gold:Gold per Turn it produces (moved to Indulgences)
Add Missionaries of this Religion erode existing pressure from other religions by 10% when Spreading Religion

Change to Zealotry:
Remove the Missionaries of this Religion erode existing Pressure from other Religions by 15% when Spreading Religion (Moved to Mendicancy; too powerful here)

Belief buildings give flat yields
But they take a big faith investment. Very different.
especially when you it's your first follower belief and you don't have enough leeway to be making extra faith purchases
 
Creativity and my proposed cooperation change give flat yields based on a very easy condition: have a specialist in the city. The difference between that and flat yields with no condition is basically a formality.
