2 great people of the same type on the same turn : fail ?

hello, I had a rare combination of events that forced me to reload the game

my game was supposed to generate two great people of the same type (I think it was great scientist) on the very same turn, same city

first source was GPP
second source was wonder building


turned out only 1 remained
I reloaded and delayed the wonder for 1 turn to solve the problem but is this a known bug ?

Not a bug. The great person from building the wonder is increasing the cost, which bumps back your natural GP.

The rule in Civ 5 to do with 'free' great people - if you have a choice of the matter, it's not free. In most cases, when you don't have a choice (e.g. free GS, not free great person and you pick GS) it doesn't cost GP points... sometime do, there was a list somewhere. Which wonder did you build?

This is not accurate. Nearly every "free" Great Person increases the costs of the next. See this post for more detail:
