1. In a multiplayer, earth18civ game, I always find myself overextending as rome. Where, assuming that every civ rome conqures is AI and his neighbors are human, should Rome stop its original praet waves and start building his cities?

2. What is the major disadvantage to getting guilds to go to gunpoweder as opposed to the long way around? (thinking my second wave could be knights, but i dont want to beeline TOO much and miss all the other tech tree stuff)

1. keep those praet waves comin i think it's easier to take someone elses city instead of building yours and if you don't plunder the countryside you don't even have to build improvements
2.honestly i don't have a clue either

1. What is the main problem you're encountering as a result of over-extension? Maintenance costs? Raze more cities, build courthouses, cottage spam. Forces spread too thin? Build more.

2. Disadvantage to Guilds? I guess it's a diversion from the other route which lends itself to the Liberalism race. But it isn't that much of a diversion, and it leads to Banking.
