20+ Mods That Work Together. No Fatal Crashes

Yeah VP clears it for you when you install, but generally if you start manually adding things you need to clear cache or it will crash.
You can in principle clear it during a playthrough and reload all the exact same mods... but it often doesn't work for me.

I see
yeah ive been getting this insane creepy pasta glitch where the civ leaders during diplomacy screens become simpsonfied turning all yellow

... You just extract all the mods into your documents>my games>civ 5>mods folder (and delete your cache just in case)
This information (about how to install) should be added to the OP post too, in my opinion.

Edit : How to enable all mods? Do I have to click the green check sign for each of them manually?
Oh, sort by "Enable" and spam click on the bottom can help.

I got some error. It happens when I start playing a new game, single player. I am sad.

I will test these civs out as I try them one by one. I think maritime battles and civics and reforms got cut around the same time in my testing and then I never tried it again. Good to know you don't get it. I will try it again, thank you.

AFAIK Improved city view is not integrated
Okie dokie, pretty sure I've found the culprit for Civics and Reform. It seems to be the wonderful Bare Necessities Mod :( it's the only one I've just added to my game and I'm getting weird crashes I never had before.

It says you are missing an image file. Probably the EUI has not installed correctly. Make sure the paths are set right in the installer.

Hopefully our goats jarcast, hokath, whomever will take up the mantle and either update civics and reforms or bare necessities : )

however, I will say if we do update civics and reforms I wonder if it should not just be combined with JFD's sovereignty.

Out of the 2 mods, it's more likely that Civics and reform is the one causing crashes giving it's complexity in terms of code.
Bare Necessities is 99% SQL changes, the only lua bit is to check if there's Jade on map for the Liangzhu wonder. Never encountered crash and I use all the listed mods except JFD's Sovereignty.

It's definitely not Civics and reform in my case since I've been playing with this mod for months now and not had a single issue. However I'm not saying my issue was caused by your mod, I'm saying it might be the two of them together clashing? Like I deactivated Civics and reform and didn't encounter the same crash again so this is why I think it could be a clash between the two. I'll keep testing because maybe it's another issue altogether.

how is civics and reform btw? isnt it weird having 2 culture trees essentially? the civ 5 policy tree replaced the civ 4 policy swapping system but that still had to be unlocked by culture, and then civ 6 brought it back and made it kind of a tree again but you can still swap out cards

Thanks.

I have extracted the MODS.zip from the OP's to "documents>my games>civ 5>mods".
It already has "(3a) VP - EUI Compatibility Files" folder.
Do I still have to download EUI separately? If so, where to download it?

(I lack experience. I always use the easy Agiwan's modpack.)

I did a fresh install of civ. i unzipped the mods into the MODS folder. enabled all the mods and it quits on turn 1 saying i lost the game.

I just used a small subset with the VP mods and enlightenment era, unique city states, promotions.

I tried the small set on communitas and large continents plus and both failed and I lost on the first turn.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I've used these mods no problem in the past but now unless I use the official modpack I can't play a game. i really miss unique city states and barbarian enhancements.

Honestly, when I first started using it, it felt weird yes, but after awhile I found it really cool. Feudalism in particular was a beast to play with giving you a global 20 XP which was often a game changer. Monarchy early game was often essential too with happiness issues whereby a unit garrisoned in a city gives you one +1 :c5happy: happiness, which also helped remind me to put a defender in a city . I loved civ 4 and the icon music when you changed policies which they added to this Civic and Reform mod. I'll miss it but hopefully someone picks it up sometime down the line.

I guess it can be explained away with the cards representing massive over arching types of government which can be applied to many cultures but the culture trees represent the smaller nuanced things of life

Yeah you should delete the modpack if you haven't already, and then run the VP installer to get the UI files (they go in like Steam/.../Assets/DLC/ type location)
Or you can do it manually if you download those files from github.

I remember this was a reported issue: https://github.com/LoneGazebo/Community-Patch-DLL/issues/11740
I don't know what the cause is, maybe clear cache and try again?

So I've done some more testing and you're right, it wasn't your mod causing the conflict, my bad. I forgot I had added the England Changes Mod by hokath and that is what was causing my crashes.

damn im going to miss ship of the line, makes more sense for a naval power
but I'm assuming we are going to get someone who makes 5th and 6th unique components
Oh my bad, it's this one that was voted in:

So the Ship of the Line is still a UU :c5happy:
