the old record is beaten:

IIRC the old record was 5 years old - the day before the release of Civ 4 :)

But damn, I have to wait until Friday here before I get my copy. Lucky Americans.

since i am a cheap ass i have to wait till the 25th.........

got a mail that i will receive it then.
but hey it does save me 15 bucks so i shall wait till Saturday then.

Lucky or not - hopefully all the bumps on the release (like delays/patches) will be smoothened out for the rest of the world release :please:

... Nah, who am I kidding? I'd pay an extra 100GBP to start playing Civ5 from tomorrow

Of course, and I imagine this record (well... not specifically this one. but the final "civ5 release record") probably won't be beaten until civ6 :king:

GJ guys :goodjob:

I imagine this forum at the moment like an airport terminal where the flights are overdue because of bad weather.
Totally overcrowded with people sleeping on the seats, on the floor, everywhere, mothers trying to calm their babies, cholerics yelling...

Nice, even though my civ5 arrives next week I won't be able to play it until December :(

My laptop which I was gonna play it (I knew it was broken when I ordered civ 5), is broke forever, the motherboard blew so I can't play it on my laptop :(, and my computer is too crap for civ 5 :p, it's like 8 years old lol (it can be play civ 4 and even sims 3 fine, but single core and crappy 128MB card is no good :p), My dad said he might get me a computer for my 21st in December :p, so hopefully then I'll be able to play it :(, Will just have to stick with civ 4 until then. I wish I had known my laptop couldn't be fixed before I ordered Civ 5 :p, I guess I could give Civ 5 to my parents as a present to my mum to give me in december, that's if dad does get me a computer :p, otherwise I'm gonna just have to increase my loan and buy myself a new computer lol.

Man, I feel with you. It must be terrible:(. I hope so that I'll get my civ 5 in Friday (I've preordered, but in Croatia, everything is always late:D).

..and it goes up

hot dogs and softdrinks are meanwhile sold out

Over 2100 now.

Anyone taking bets on what the maximum will be? Will it be even higher pre Rest-of-the-World Launch?

I'm confused. He posted this:

on 9/20/10 at 3:23 PM... How does the forum know how many users are going to be online over 4 hours into the future?

Guess I'm gonna have to read the Theory of Relativity again...
