2002 AD- As the sun sank in the sky, Joan'd'Arch and her long time friends, Catherine and Cleopatra stepped out onto the balcony of Joan's palace to watch the sunset. They looked out to sea as the final shred of sunlight slid beneath the dark waters.
"That is the last sunlight that will see peace for a very long time," Catherine said.
"Catherine, I know that you despise war, we all long for a peaceful world, but we've got to think of our nations' future." Joan responded.
"Catherine, I have to agree with Joan. The English have just gotten too powerful. And there is no way one of us alone could destroy them. We need to stick together, just as we have for the last 2000 years. It's for the good of the world. Trust me." Cleopatra piped in.
"Then, we must do what we must do," Catherine finally agreed.

Joan could remember her first encounter with Catherine and the Russian people. It was almost 5000 years ago now....
2900 BC-
"Saint Joan! Saint Joan! There is a carraige here that says it comes from Moscow," one of Joan's aides told her.
"Moscow?" Joan questioned.
"A city near our northern border claimed to be the capital of a mighty empire stronger than our own."
"An empire stronger than our own? Ha!"
"It's true, Madame. Apparently they have many cities that produce vast amounts of food and production and are scientifically advanced."
"I see, and who, may I ask, is in this carraige from Moscow?"
"Catherine, the Czarina."
"The Cz-what?!?"
"The leader, she calls herself the Czarina. Don't ask me why."
"I see, well send her up. I'm always excited to meet a new face."
"Saint Joan, let me warn you, her face is no picnic. Ughhhh."
Moments a large overbearing woman charged through the double doors into Joan's throne room.
"I am Czarina Catherine, ruler of the mighty Russian people who live to the north of this vast continent. And you I presume are the famous Joan'd'Arch."
"I am Joan'd'Arch, but I fear that I am not famous among anyone but the French people.
