2009 NFL Draft talk thread

mrt, you have every reason to be negative but JaMarcus had an 11-11 game and some other pretty good games with...maybe the worst wide receiving corp I've ever seen. And no real threats at TE or out of the backfield either.

Zach Miller is bossin. And the Raiders raped my childhood fandom by moving back to Oakland and then ruining Oakland Coliseum, losing the Superbowl, and drafting aimlessly for years, being the most penalized team in 1996, and having terrible, no-class fans.

Zach Miller is bossin.

non-native speaker here... :(

What's a "bossin" ?

And about Darius-Bey: Sure it was a surprise that they passed on Crabtree and Maclin, but taking a WR was filling a need. Whether they took the right WR is a different question alltogether. Time will tell, but it seems a bit harsh to label him a bust already.

Bossin -- a synonym for awesome

And you are right about Heyward-Bey, he might end up being the best receiver from this draft. We won't know until about 3 years from now who was truly the best. It could be that both Maclin and Crabtree go the way of Troy Williamson, Mike Williams, Reggie Williams, Charles Rogers, David Terrell, Koren Robinson, and Peter Warrick. Statistically speaking, it is highly likely that at least one of those players follows the bust track.

He held out through training camp. I don't think it was good fortune to pick up a player at that salary who was holding out for a contract and has no other options.

He was the first pick in the draft! No matter who they picked, that player was getting a massive contract.
