I'm afraid I must agree with the Cowboys fan. :p I would do anything to get Romo on my team! ANYTHING!!!!

Hey, man, anytime you can put the fate of your franchise in the hands of a man who looks like a rodent and who gets the yips in big games, you gotta do it, amirite

If anything, this hurts azale's case.

Come on, Romo's not THAT bad. Hindsight being 20/20, he would probably get drafted if teams could do it over. Maybe even on the first day!

He isn't that bad, but he isn't that good either.

Believe it or not, if everyone would have a do-over, Romo would probably be the #1 pick to the Bengals. Besides Palmer, there isn't anyone who jumps out as a good quarterback. The 2003 draft class was very weak, and it only produced two decent signalcallers. The next best QB from that class is Seneca Wallace. It's that bad.

Romo is an objectively good quarterback. Great mobility, fairly good arm (his release speed is one of the greatest of all time), fairly good football IQ, and a fairly good leader. Fairly. He is streaky, both in turnovers and overall production. He utilizes his offensive teammates pretty well. He gets the yips in SOME big games, and others he leads the game winning drive. He is not good enough to carry a team, but good enough to win with a great team around him.

I DUNNO I feel like I'm repeating myself.

This seems like a good assessment of Romo to me. I do question his focus somewhat. Somehow I get the feeling that he's not always entirely with his mind on football during the season...

But let's face it: Romo > Grossman... ;) So all Redskins fans should probably indeed envy Dallas' QB situation... ;)

In defense of Cutler, I would argue that there isn't a team on the offensive side of the ball as devoid of talent as the bears.

Oops, forgot my sarcasm alert. Ya, objectively he's a good QB, but what fun is sports through an objective viewpoint? :)

And i would still take Cutler over Romo. Last year he had Ron "3rd down draw" Turner as his OC, and this year it's Martz? That's like Going from sober (in denver), to Heroin, to Crack. There's gotta be an adjustment period. This year, he did decent with very little help (as cubsfan6506 mentioned, there's not much talent around him).

For all the flak ron turner takes, he mad Rex Grossman, Moose, and Bernard Berrian and made them into one of the best offenses in the nfl, even though for only one year it was still quite the achievement.

No one is going to convince me that Jay Cutler is a better QB than Romo. If you guys had Romo in the NFC Championship Game, you would have been representing the NFC two weeks ago.

This is all just "eyetest" conjecture though, it is really hard to compare their resumes.

Perfect! :goodjob:

Do these pictures show excellence in him, or what! :p I know! My favorite quote and accompanying occurrence fit this:

*The Bears offense goes onto the field to start a play*
Commentator: "He (Cutler) inspires confidence." *The play starts, and Cutler throws a perfect spiral to a CB, who returns the interception for a touchdown.*

Honestly, i don't like either too much. Cutler is the whiniest QB this side of Phillip Rivers, and Romo has this vacuous stare and personality to match. Admittedly though, after looking at the stats, Romo has the edge in pretty much everything that matters.
