2010 NFL Regular Season

You guys should meet my roommate. Thankfully the framed picture of Rex looking off into the distance is down, but he definitely dvr'd the last 2 skins games to see Rex in action. He really still believes that if Rex had the time Brady gets, he'd be a top tier QB.

...No.

He had his days.

I think rex is good.

Whatever kind of drug your roommate is using, please send some of it my way!

The problem with Rex is not that he doesn't get enough time to throw. The problem is his decision-making. He's as likely so take the boneheaded option as he is to take the brilliant option on any given play...

Bingo! The throws that clear the O-Line are all too often headed someplace they shouldn't be. Brains > Brawn at QB. A fact you'd think Al Davis would've picked up in his first 100 years in the league, maybe Jamarcus finally learned him though.

I like Rex, and i root for him; but he is just the best example of a Bumbling QB (other than you-know-who). I will give him this, though. Nobody, and i mean NOBODY has more fun on the sideline holding a clipboard. Ear to ear smile for 60 minutes every sunday.

I dunno, Byron Leftwich looked pretty happy during the Super Bowl

But seriously, why is the topic of discussion the Skins backup QB next year? Anyone who thinks Rex is anything above that is A)a lunatic and B)did not actually watch any Skins games last year, but watched the highlights of Sexy Rexy picking apart a depleted Cowboys secondary (a team that finished behind the Skins.)

You left out C) - An egotistical, nepotistic coach who won't admit he screwed up.

 According to who? Our season was a lolocaust and we still ended up with the same record and probably a better coach.

You left out C)noticed that McFlopp isn't really the greatest QB to step onto the field after all. D)realized that he may be a steward of the position until the next draft and then groom that new QB. E)watched Grossman pick apart the Giants (a team that finished ahead of the Skins).

Just curious, but do you really want Grossman and his louzy decision-making around a young, impressionable rookie QB ?

The majority of all sports writers that I have seen (Including the writers at Redskins.com) agree that it would make sense to keep Grossman to groom a QB.

Garry Fitzgerald of Redskins.com said:
If the Redskins opt to draft a quarterback and groom him for the future, as Shanahan has suggested, then it may make sense to bring back Grossman and insert him as the starter until the young prospect is ready.

So in direct answer to your question: Yes.

McNabb, statistically, played better and made less mistakes than Grossman. (Reference: Mike Wise, an actual journalist, column, search it.) And by pick apart, you mean had 3 turnovers, led the team to the lost, and got most of his yards on a blind duck throw to Armstrong. But yeah, he tore the Giants apart on the way to a non-competitive loss minus a late touchdown on said blind duck throw.

Seriously, as a fellow Redskins fan, you cannot be serious about Grossman. At best, he had a below-average statistical/game management season. He had one good half of football and his only win came on a win from the defense. Stop it.

Redskins.com writers are not sports writers, they are members of the Redskins administration. And I'd love to see who most writers are (not including the bureaucrats in Ashburn.)

Draft order Azale, draft order.

Real journalists, not a bunch of just-out-of-college know-it-all's bad sports website.
So people who disagree with you are "just-out-of-college know-it-all's"? Interesting turn of events. Very interesting. And most of all, nothing said about the points he made.

Anyone who takes the Bleacher Report as serious sports journalism with good arguments has the same mental capacity as someone who reads Cracked for their history, or The Onion for the news.

bleacher report is really just a blog with lots of writers. i side with Red on that one. while they may have some neat pieces here and there, they're not necessarily at the top of any journalist lists.

Remember you are all arguing with someone who thinks Obama was born in Kenya. :)

I'd say birtherism is about on part with irrational Rex Grossman love.
