it's as if you think i'm completely blinded by my love affair. i think i've watched enough baseball in my time to make assessments. don't agree with it? fine. lay it out. just like i'm about to do.

now, let's look at what really matters for my argument; beltran is hitting .225 against left handed pitching. pence? .316 against lefties. a look at the other numbers for pence shows a better overall avg at .311. there are other numbers too where pence is better (rbi, sb and some of those obtuse sabre stats) and the point i'm trying to make is that pence is a far better fit for philadelphia. by that i mean that they needed a right handed bat and pence fits this profile much better than beltran.
