I, uh, haven't said that the actual violence part is a good thing. And I don't think anybody else has, either.

I strongly dislike the Rasists, but I'm semi-okay with anything that makes their awful team more watchable. Since, you know, I have to watch it all the time.

I could see the Bengals going 0-7 to start, but it's gonna get pretty rough from there.

Woo kickoff night, plus primetime games against Bears, Failcons, and Iggles. We also get Steelers, Saints, and Bears at home.

Really, nothing to complain about with this schedule. The weeks 6-10 are rough with 4 out of the 5 games being on the road, but it evens out nicely for weeks 11-17.

No. Just, no. First, it's usually a bad sign when a player says that he is worthy of the HoF. That shows a big ego. Big egos are not really HoF worthy unless they've got big stats to back them up. The fact that he was awful with the next two teams and was avoided like the plague by a team that ended up signing Josh McCown makes a rather large statement about just how good he is.

    KC Chiefs '12:

W1: v. Atlanta - very winnable game. Would be great if we got off to a good start
W2: @ Bills - depends on how their personnel situation ends up. But still winnable either way
W3: @ Saints - probably not too winnable, but I hold the right to change my mind depending on how they do after the bounty scandal
    W4: v. Chargers - good chance of a win
W5: v. Ravens - ehhhh. Don't think KC has the personnel to compete with Baltimore. Most likely a defensive struggle
W6: @ Bucs - more than likely win
    W7: BYE
W8: v. Raiders - more than likely win
    W9: @ Chargers (TNF) - doubtful
W10: @ Steelers (MNF) - more than doubtful
    W11: v. Bengals - good shot of a win
W12: v. Broncos - goddammit why did they schedule the Broncos so late? This means Manning will have time to learn the system, get comfortable, etc. But I don't think he'll have enough weapons to make this game out of reach
    W13: v. Panthers - probable win
    W14: @ Browns - win
    W15: @ Raiders - win
    W16: v. Colts - likely win
W17: @ Broncos - this is will be a really good game, for all the AFC West mayhapsbe.

You know you've come far when other teams think you're a beatable rather than a pushover.

I've heard stories about him, but I didn't really watch football back when he played. So I cringed, just not as hard as you probably did.

Akili Smith had the football IQ of a lampshade. IMO, he was the worst bust of the '99 class that also had Cade McNown & Tim Couch.
