Promised limerick. (It's limericks that are for lols)
Oh, by all means, investigate . . . then . . .
Investigate more, for this Fen
(If Benghazi's a tell)
Won't be fathomed as well,

@Gori the Grey
thank you , most wordsmiths I know are not so punctual
the ellipses were a nice touch
Russia wouldn't be as big a threat if the country didn't have a beachhead of their own set up, posing as a political party.
Steele was a Hillary supporter... and Page wasn't in the wrong place at the wrong time, he was smeared by Steele and subsequently "investigated". That is cutthroat, far worse than Trump telling the Russians to publish emails showing Clinton/DNC corruption. I dont see any Democrats raising a fuss about Trump's taxes leaking into the press, why should I get riled up by Russians exposing Hillary's shenanigans.
So Russia wasn't much of a threat until after Trump got elected? Thats why Obama's mockery is so ironic, they made him eat his words.
Well, the nice thing about the limerick form is that you can (sometimes) just dash it off
The ellipses are the limerick. The more I work in the form, the more I'm making a given limerick's meaning rest in little details, even details of punctuation.
The entire political establishment thought that Russia wasn't that much of a threat. Then the latent threat of having a political organisation infiltrated by their spies suddenly became a very real threat when Donald Trump became president of the United States.
It was a dopey thing to say. Extremists were suicide bombing and massacring innocents. US troops were dying. Meanwhile, Putin was pretty much behaving himself. Romney might as well have named Kaiser Bill.
Let's be clear that what they're doing is fascism.
Well that too.
But Old Hippy was concerned about the "corruption at the highest levels" that will be unearthed by Barr and Durham. So that's why I answered in those terms.
How dare you imply that a movement with the explicit party of the National Socialist Party, which furthermore ran a smear campaign against its main opponent featuring six-pointed stars, and also has expressed support for corporate rule over liberal democracy is fascism? How dare you, sir?
The reason was to get a line on the Trump campaign. If you mean the justification in the application, fraud may the correct term. Again, there is a US Attorney tasked with investigating this.
I would be shocked if several people are not indicted, likely before July 4th. Comey looks likely but probably not that fast. However, every signer of the FISA warrant applications, including the renewals, could be on the hook for multiple felony counts. The names of people directly implicated include Comey, Clapper, Lynch, Yates, McCabe, and Rosenstein. There will be dozens of lower level people involved.
I would be shocked if they were.
with the fireworks... my count is at least 30
just for lying to Congress...
Don't forget John Brennan..."Many people don't even know who he is," Trump said about Brennan, the director of the CIA from 2013 until January 2017.
Comey Brennan Rosenstein and Clapper have all ready started blaming each other in public with Brennan saying it was the FBI's job to verify CIA information because that's not their job
let alone Comey's crazy Rosenstein has lost his soul remark
give it a little time for them to try to get ahead of the storey and see who throws who under the bus first
A pity Republicans did not have this obsession with 'verifying' intelligence in, say, 2003.
many of these so called Republicans would not be in their current position if they had learned not to accept so called intelligence from the British after 2003
so yeah it's a pity...
Joe and Hunter appear to be off the hook wrt Ukraine, the new investigator has given them a clean bill of health
almost relieved... there is just too much corruption to keep track of
I will reply in a new thread. While this has serious implications for the 2020 election, it is a different subject.
Separate names with a comma.
