Just noticed this thread. Drunk, slept, woke up. FOX News has called it. Trump is poised to give his victory speech. FOX News called PA for Trump, so its over, in their calculation.

New York Times's needle is calling Trump. It's just a matter of time now. Can't say I expected definitive results so soon given PA's electoral woes yesterday. I was doing vote reporting at the courthouse and that was all the buzz.

I've been mainly watching Mr. Terry's livestream covering the election while playing WoW. Plus I have the live results on Google on another tab and The Associated Press "hasn't called this race". I don't know, I'm just trying to grab any kind of hopium I can and avoiding spiraling further into doomerism.

If it's true, it's a disappointment that Harris have lost.

Trump won, but I think he cheated. I’m not going to storm the capital or comit crimes, but this is my opinion. My dad who has been a U.S. citizen for nearly 30 years had his right to vote taken away from him this year and they didn’t even give a reason. When I voted the electronic machine changed my vote from Harris to trump (and from another democrat to republican) and if I didn’t notice to change it back it would have cast my ballot wrong. Widespread voter suppression, bomb threats etc. with trump in office again he will do even more to make sure the game is rigged in his favor. I guess we can kiss democracy goodbye, and I’m not even exaggerating or being dramatic when I say that.

I'm not saying Trump winning makes that true, I'm saying Trump winning reveals that to have been true all along. This is a state that was literally created to facilitate genocide and slaving, and it has never strayed far from its roots.

Almost all places where humans have lived have practiced slavery at some point, including idegenous people enslaving each other before 1492 and Africans enslaving each other both well before and after then. The genocide part is a bit more unique although it has happened plenty of times too. And no, America as a political entity wasn't created for that purpose, both slavery and taking land from natives happened while they were with the British, long before 1776. Slavery and displacement of native land would have continued to happen regardless of who won the revolutionary war. America was created due to grievances from England, no taxation without representation no quartering soldiers in our home etc. I'm not saying I in any way shape or form am happy of Trump winning this election, when clearly I'm not but what you're saying is a bit silly here. It's also worth noting that even with cheating (which obviously has gone on) still, Trump has obviously done well with a lot of non white voters meaning racism is hardly the only problem the country faces.

Nothing to do with this election had anything to do with any "far left", and to make that your go-to move is honestly deranged.

Some people are mostly if not only voting based off of identity politics, culture wars, and memes but to me I'm only looking at actual legislation.

We will almost certainly pull out of the Paris climate agreement, have poorer healthcare than we would have under Harris, worse public education, and stop supporting Ukraine. And from the hypocritical "states rights" people clearly they want abortion banned nationwide. So on all of these issues that actually matter tome, Trump is taking the wrong side.
