This happen with any ranged unit without the inderect fire promotion attempting to fire over any Natural Wonder... Imagine the fountain of youth blocking ranged attacks. Great screenshot!

All natural wonders are counted as mountains for all game purposes. It's already listed 3-4 times in the confirmed bug list.
I doubt it will change any time soon, but hopefully it will one day.
