2194 Gigamap PBEM Test

Wow, this truly is a giga-scenario. Good thing I DLed it first, I'll do a run through or two of the first couple turns in SP just to get used to how it plays.
 
how come the axis are seriously lacking in options for armor units ?

They have the PzKw III and the PzKw IV

The units will upgrade themselves when there is Part II, II, IV, etc...

I´ve been playing your scenario for 4 turns, and i want to criticize a few things:
1) I found really hard to destroy fighters. I don´t like that "100% ability against air/missiles units"
2)Don´t the axis and japan have many units? The allies won the war because of the number of tanks, bombers, fighters, etc. I think that they are the ones who should outnumber axis forces.
3) There a couple of failures in the terrain.
For example: In the north pole i found "rice paddies" Mmm... :eek: How did they do to produce rice there??:D
Another one: As an argie, i assure you that our patagonia isn´t a desert.
Anyway, i don´t know if ít´s your fault, or the one who made the map is guilty.
4) I know this one is too personal, but i don´t like neither the "suburbs" nor the "industry" pictures. For example, look europe!! I don´t understand anything. I have the feeling that the land is "crowded".
Anyway, it´s your scenario; your choice.

Please tell me what you think about this

After turn 6, you will have to load the second part of the scenario. It has new units and new rules for the germans and the other countries. The units you already have in the field will upgrade to the newer ones. What I did was put new units in the slots of old units so that they automatically upgrade.

I did it so that a fighter doesn't have much of a fighting chance against the units like a field artillery, but I understand what you are saying, and after a little more playtesting, we'll see if we should lower thier values a little anyway.

At the beginning of the war, the Axis and Japan had more units to start with because they were already mobilized and ready for war. America was shipping units across the Atlantic to the Russians and British, and the British lost a lot at Dunquerke(sp) and durng the Battle of Britain. As the scenario will progress, the Allies will be able to have a lot better industry and will be able to produce units much faster.

Yeah there is, I just didn't fix the rice paddies in the north pole yet just because they do not effect the game at all. I will fix them when I realease it for real.

I don't understand what you mean by the Australian desert, let me know more specifically where.

I wanted Europe to look crowded. But that is just me.

Let's get this thing started now that we all have it set up.

I propose we play this as a hotseat game so that we don't have any problem with the changing of production. Since it is just a test, it won't matter as long as we can keep from cheating!!

Negotiations are allowed, but as a house rule, there is no trading of country specific techs!
Ex. Americans can't trade USA to British, and vice-versa.

Oubai1, you start, set it up as a hotseat game with 6 people, and the first player is the Japs, then in order, and the Soviets are last.

Maybe pap made the desert in Chile a little bit to far east? ;)

Hmm it's a shame we can't seem to get this one off the ground and I missed the Apolyton one :( People just disappear for days... rather annoying.
