Whether the story is real or not is completely irrelevant, because this is a story that IS real in many places RIGHT NOW. This same old thing (maybe slight variations to the ages) pops up every 3 months. People give the same, "if this was my daughter I would take out the shotgun I keep in my closet", or "when you have a daughter you will understand." It is the same as those sex offender threads where posters desperately try to outdo each other for the award for suggesting the most cruel kind of castration/murder/whatever.

Dammit, people are so hypocritical. I read endless rants about the evils of the nanny state, but then when some horny 16 year old girl bangs some 22 year old at the gym, "she was unaware of the consequences of her actions". These are largely the same people who wouldn't flinch at trying juveniles as adults for all sorts of crimes because "they should know damn well what is right and wrong". Suddenly they get all touchy-feely about how girls have all sorts of hormones at that age that don't match their maturity. These girls certainly cannot comprehend that banging a 22 year old in order to get their jollies may be foolish.

The truly disgusting thing is reading all these posts describing the truly criminal and malicious acts that the hypothetical outraged fathers would commit in response. Perhaps they should sit down with 16 year old (age of consent) Sally and ask her what she has learned.

The question I ask earlier that if it were your daughter was hypothetical. I do not have daughter or any kid for that matter. I was just posing a question. I do agree that many people are hypocritical about many things that under age teens do. Like if a teen smokes marijuana, and a cop pulls them over and they have over a certain amount, they call it trafficking with intent to distribute, even though they had for only themselves. So, in conclusion, I totally agree. I really am glad that you posted that.
