I'm running a 30" Cinema Display off of my 17" MBP 2.8. Is there a way to get the 2560x1600 resolution? The maximum choice I get in the pulldown is 2048 x 1280 or something like that.
Hold down the command key (it has the four-leaf clover symbol on it and is usually next to the space bar) when starting Civ, this will give you the option to choose the right resolution. This is a long-standing glitch in the Mac version that you can't select the max res for your monitor in-game.
