Voting Instructions
Players, please cast your votes in the poll above. Vote "Yea" if you'd be okay if this proposal was implemented. Vote "Nay" if you'd be okay if this proposal wasn't implemented.
You can vote for both options, which is equivalent to saying "I'm fine either way", but adds to the required quorum of 10 votes in favor.
All votes are public. If you wish, you can discuss your choice(s) in the thread below. You can change your vote as many times as you want until the poll closes.
VP Congress: Session 4, Proposal 26
Proposal: Remove the "free ranged attack" (similar to the Impi) from the Giant Death Robot.
Rationale: The GDR is meant to be a way to accelerate conquest in the late game, and it does its role very well, but a bit too well. Removing the free ranged attack means the unit will take a bit more damage and not bowl over units quite as quickly. The unit will still be a good bit stronger than any other unit in the game, but just a bit less dominant.
Edit: Updated the rationale because apparently the combat estimator does take this into account, and so my assessment there was inaccurate. No change in the proposal itself.
