Welcome to the 2022 Krampus game in the 6OTM Series! These games will allow new and old GOTM fans to try out the new features in Civ6 in a friendly environment. Participants are encouraged to post questions, stories, advice, tricks and failures in the dedicated game threads (described below). Each game will specify the Civ you will play and the Victory Condition to strive for. We will be working to refine the 6otM concept as we move ahead with the series. Gifting of cities is an exploit in a religious VC as the AI can't see that it will lose if it accepts the cities.

We would like to ask you to abide by our most sacred rule: Don’t replay any turns! If you make a mistake, accept it and try to recover. To ensure fair play and prevent results exclusions, please set your Autosaves to 1 turn. In the event of a computer crash while playing, just reload to the previous save and play it as closely to how you played it the first time. Please let Leif know (via Conversation (Private Message)) if you experienced a crash and how many turns you replayed.

Game Version: This game was created in Civ6 Gathering Storm version 1.0.12.9.
Game Requirements: vanilla version of Civilization VI with Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions. All pre-NFP & NFP DLCs are required.

Frederick - Germany Unique Attributes:

Frederick Leader Bonus: Holy Roman Emperor - Gains an additional Military Policy slot in all Governments. +7 Combat Strength for all units when fighting city-states and their units.

Unique Ability: Free Imperial Cities -Each city can build one more specialty District than the Citizen Population limit would normally allow.

Unique Unit: U-Boat – Replaces Submarine, Unlocked by Electricity
Common abilities: Invisible except when within Sight range of City Centers, Encampments, Destroyers, other naval raiders, or when there is a unit in an adjacent tile. Reveals stealth units within Sight range.
Can perform Coastal Raids. as a ranged attack with Range 2. Ignores enemy zone of control. Does not exert zone of control.
Special abilities: +10 Combat Strength when fighting on Ocean tiles.
Special traits: Higher Sight (3 vs. 2). Lower Production cost (430 vs. 480). No strategic resource requirement.

Unique Infrastructure: Hansa – Replaces Industrial Zone; Unlocked by Apprenticeship
Effects: Lower Production cost (27 vs. 54). Major bonus (+2) to Production yield for each adjacent Commercial Hub. Major bonus (+2) to Production yield for each adjacent Aqueduct, Dam, or Canal. Standard bonus (+1) to Production yield for each adjacent resource. Minor bonus (+½) to Production yield for all other adjacent district tiles. +1 Great Engineer point per turn. Specialists provide +2 Production each. Production from Factory and Power Plant buildings extends to cities whose City Centers are within 6 tiles of this district.

For those who haven't played a 'bonus' Krampus game before, it is a unique map setup that may be tougher (or at least different) than a 'normal' deity game. Whether by flood, fire, or zombies..or other tricks up his sleeve...Krampus is out to get you in this one. Hope it is fun!!!

While Krampus was busy making flood tiles that go inland from the lake, Santa managed to place some luxury and bonus resources.

Two Civ 6 Game bugs that sadly still exist:
1) Secret Society impact: Ley Lines do not appear in designed maps - recommend not using Hermetic Order
2) Dramatic Ages Policy Cards impact: most districts receive a 100% production penalty the first time you add/change policy cards after adding Culture Industry (Era Change; Government Change; etc.); only known fix is to load a save prior to using Culture Industry - recommend not using Culture Industry policy card

Are there any rules other than what is posted such as any rules around trading diplo favor or strategics?

I will let @Eyswein answer your question. I do not think we limit trading.

No limits to trading. Definitely a good way to create income with early buying of diplo favors. I wish they had designed trading better, but it is not an exploit.
