Welcome to game 151 in the 6OTM Series! These games will allow new and old GOTM fans to try out the new features in Civ6 in a friendly environment. Participants are encouraged to post questions, stories, advice, tricks and failures in the dedicated game threads (described below). Each game will specify the Civ you will play and the Victory Condition to strive for. We will be working to refine the 6otM concept as we move ahead with the series. Gifting of cities is an exploit in a religious VC as the AI cant see that it will lose if it accepts the cities.

Must Read!

We would like to ask you to abide by our most sacred rule: Don’t replay any turns! If you make a mistake, accept it and try to recover. To ensure fair play and prevent results exclusions, please set your Autosaves to 1 turn. In the event of a computer crash while playing, just reload to the previous save and play it as closely to how you played it the first time. Please let Leif know (via Conversation (Private Message)) if you experienced a crash and how many turns you replayed.

Information about threads associated with each individual 6otM -- Must Read if you are new to our Game of the Month!
Please note: If you wish to make a video of your game, please do not post any links to it until after the game submission date has passed. This is because of the potential spoilers that are created by posting before the end date. Thank you for your cooperation.

Spoiler :
Announcement thread (this one): This thread is used to announce the game and clarify the settings and rules (don't be afraid to ask questions). It's also used to discuss the game before you start, and post problems with opening the save. Once you have opened the save, DO NOT POST in the Announcement thread, even non game-related information. Instead use the next thread.

Opening Actions thread: This thread is used to discuss the game's opening decisions and strategies through the first 100 or so turns. Here you can post questions related to the game and share your achievements/anger/frustration/victories while you play. We encourage players to use the spoiler tags for screenshot. During the time the game is active, please do not post any information concerning the game outside of the spoiler threads including screen shots, videos, or recorded/live-cast Let's Plays on other websites.

After Actions thread: In this thread you can post the results of your game. Please state your victory/loss date and final score (preferably in the post title) and describe your path to glory in this post! Players are encouraged to provide feedback on the game. Some players like to replay the game, and although we will not record the results from a replay, you can still post your new experiences. The game will not be closed as such, but after one month, the results will be compiled, and will not necessarily be updated with reports coming in after the finish date.

In development.

The save is attached below.
(Note: 2 files below, the second one is No Leader Pass; believe they play the same as I hadn't used any of the new leaders, but didn't get a chance to test fully. Beginning was at least the same.)

Could we have a version of the save without the Leader Pass mods? Shaka is not one of the new leaders, thus I guess the mods are not needed! :D

Added a second save file (..._noLP) to the original post. Same everything as the other game. I hadn't used any of the new leaders, just forgot to turn off the Mods when creating. The beginning area and a little bit of exploration makes me believe they are the same, but never know for sure. Please let me know if I missed something and it still doesn't work.

You guys don't give up on these! Has it been ten years or more with GOTM already? I lost count. Since we got a new update in this game recently I guess I'll dive in and give this a go. Fingers Crossed!

Spoiler First 100 turns :

EDIT: No more Turn 100 Report it appears for these? Played up to turn 96 and need a bit of a break. Got a little bored as the Barbs don't even attack or hit your units anymore. My AI neighbor got bogged down with early war so of course I'm attacking now that we're going Medieval. I don't care if it's SV... I like Warmongering. I'll report in the AAR thread after game is over. Hope I didn't break any spoiler rules.

Moderator Action: Yeah, you did so I placed spoiler tags around it. Should not say anything about your game once the save is opened in the Announcement thread. leif

Thank you so much for continuing to produce GOTM updates! I've been playing them for at least the last 2 (3? 4??) games and I always look forward to them. I don't think I've commented on here for YEARS now, but I would like to start adding my 2 cents! I totally don't obey the replay rule, I cancel out all the little updates habitually, so my units are always racing off to the frontier willy nilly. Anyhoo, thanks to these games, I can now win Diety levels here and at home. Thanks again!
I'm settling on that wheat, which I don't normally like to do, but I want those juicy volcano tiles in my ring. I may take a religion too, depending on how mountainy that mountain range gets. I LOVE me some Work Ethic for early production. I'm PROBABLY going to try to stomp on any nearby neighbors, but we'll have to see what's over the horizon... Sending the warrior northwest for huts.

Yep, it works! Thanks a lot, you rock 😃

Hey, Everyone!

If I, firstly, conquer all capitals, and after that go for science victory. Will that count for winning of this gotm? Or should I leave at least one capital?

PS Big thanks Eyswein for great map

Normally need to avoid other win conditions (which isn't always easy on lower difficulty like accidently getting culture due to corporations bonuses). Sometimes other win conditions are disabled.
