Welcome to game 154 in the 6OTM Series! These games will allow new and old GOTM fans to try out the new features in Civ6 in a friendly environment. Participants are encouraged to post questions, stories, advice, tricks and failures in the dedicated game threads (described below). Each game will specify the Civ you will play and the Victory Condition to strive for. We will be working to refine the 6otM concept as we move ahead with the series. Gifting of cities is an exploit in a religious VC as the AI can't see that it will lose if it accepts the cities.

Must Read!
We would like to ask you to abide by our most sacred rule: Don’t replay any turns! If you make a mistake, accept it and try to recover. To ensure fair play and prevent results exclusions, please set your Autosaves to 1 turn. In the event of a computer crash while playing, just reload to the previous save and play it as closely to how you played it the first time. Please let Leif know (via Conversation (Private Message)) if you experienced a crash and how many turns you replayed.

I asked for advice from an AI, and since it kind of feels like a cheat (or a wild goose chase), I will gladly share what ChatGPT thinks is a good way to play this game:

Spoiler ChatGPT AI approach :

Winning a game of Civilization 6 as Hungary on Prince difficulty level and a Fractal map can be achieved through several different strategies. Here are some general tips to help you achieve victory quickly:

  1. Focus on early game expansion: As Hungary, you have a unique ability that allows you to quickly settle cities and gain territory through levying city-state troops. Focus on early game expansion and building up a strong economy to support your growing empire.
  2. Build up a strong military: As you expand, you'll want to build up a strong military to defend your cities and conquer your enemies. Hungary has access to powerful units like the Black Army and the Huszár, which can be upgraded over time to become even more formidable.
  3. Use your unique abilities to your advantage: Hungary's unique ability, Pearl of the Danube, gives you bonuses for buildings and districts built across the river from a city center. Use this to your advantage by strategically placing your cities and districts to maximize your bonuses.
  4. Focus on science and culture: Winning through a Science or Culture victory can be a faster way to win than Domination or Religion victory. Focus on building up your science and culture output by building science and cultural districts, researching key technologies, and recruiting great scientists and artists.
  5. Be opportunistic with your diplomatic relationships: Hungary's unique ability also allows you to levy city-state troops, which can be a powerful tool in your conquests. Be opportunistic with your diplomatic relationships, and consider becoming allies with city-states that have powerful units to supplement your army.
By using these tips and tailoring your strategy to the specific circumstances of your game, you can increase your chances of winning quickly as Hungary on a Fractal map at Prince difficulty level.

I truly hope to die of old age before AI takes over.🤣
