This is a thread for discussing the addition of 2 more unique components to the Songhai civilization. Unlike other threads, the Songhai are due to go through a rework, so I cannot post a preview of the new base VP kit

"Father of the Horse" (+15% CS and RCS for Mounted Units in 2 tile radius)

Proposition:
1. Sofa changes:
Loses "Father of the Horse" (+15% CS + RCS for nearby mounted units)
Gains +15% CS + RCS vs Mounted units

Rationale:
Giving bonuses that rival that of a Great General to a unit that can be produced for 160 hammers is improper. Instead we can give the Sofa an offensive + defensive bonus vs mounted units.

Nice and clean. Also removes new code.

Need to remove the longbowman for this though, because this is essentially the exact same bonus as their assize of arms ability.

I do agree the father of the horse thing is too much. Songhai already has an absolutely massive power spike from getting two excellent UUs in the same era. Having direct synergy between them on top of that is just too much.
