When I look at Denmark's Minor color it looks very similar to the Barbarian color. This suggestion is browner like Denmark's Major color, but tweeked to read better on a black background.

The exact new color is:
<Red>0.6509803922</Red>
<Green>0.3764705882</Green>
<Blue>0.2000000000</Blue>

Note: These photos don't do the color change much justice.
Try the new color in-game yourself by moving the attached NewColors.xml to
...\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\(2) Vox Populi\Database Changes

From the screenshots it looks fine at the moment, but I will try in game.
The one that is really a problem is Poland -- maybe that was already fixed (not a congress issue imo)

But it doesn't even look similar. Unlike Warsaw.
We can vote if you like.
It's quite orange in game. Personally I can tell it apart from red but maybe some people will have trouble. Colors perception is a funny thing.

166/96/51 (lighter and slightly less red)

As to Warsaw,
From Artur's link
Code:
            <Type>NEW_COLOR_PLAYER_POLAND_BACKGROUND</Type>
            <Red>0.6118</Red>
            <Green>0.1882</Green>
            <Blue>0.1333</Blue>
            <Alpha>1</Alpha>
Is even more barbarian (brick)-red it seems

Could go to a lighter red, closer to where Morocco is

But not sure if it will help?
This is like trying to paint a bathroom smh

The secondary colour (which is always black for CS) also affects our perception.
