A Babylon 5 Mod for the Final Frontier Mod

    Hello everyone!,

    I just finished the next ship, the Grome Gunship (unknown class name) it is meant as the a Tier 1 support ship for the LoNAW (Balanced). This is one of the designs for Sierra's "Into the Fire" B5 game...:(

    Well, at least it will see some action here :D

    I love this ship, what a unique design! I'll get it added in tonight when I get in from work. I hope there will be many more unique looking ships to make the different league races stand out?

    Today I had time for a few quick ones, two fighters, the Drazi Star Snake Class Fighter (Tier 1) and the Hyach Dartha Class Fighter (Tier 2).

    Drazi Star Snake:
    • Poly Count: 714

    • Damage/Glow/Gloss: No/Yes/Yes

    The Hyach colors were taken from the ITF Hyach Gunship, however, not all Hyach Ships will have the same colours.

    You're churning out ships faster than I can incorporate them!:goodjob:

    The reorganisation of the League Worlds progresses but I have come across a couple of things that I need a little more clarification on.

    The Krish and Kor-Lyan league members seem to have been missed out of the 3 faction reorganisation. Is this because they have no real ship units to add to any of the factions or was it an oversight?

    In the passive League fleet roster there is a Zephir Delta-V in the 2nd generation fighter slot. There is no Zephir League world in any of the reorganised factions. I have temporarily assigned this to the Alacans so it currently appears as Alacan Delta V.
    If the Zephir are a League member do you know the name of the homeworld?
    Or, if the Zephir is the name of the fighter can you let me know which League race it belongs to?

    Hello everyone!

    Regarding the Krish and Kor-Lyan, well, the Krish is a species half-known to me, AFAIK they have little in the way of military ships (they are true pacifist), and since I have no knowlegde of any type of ship they use I didn't add them.

    About the Kor-Lyan, ... how are they?, I have no knowledge of them, If anyone have a little insigth into them I can see to add them into a LoNAW fleet.

    About the Zephir, as AbsintheRed, has pointed "Zephir Delta-V" is the name of the fighter, and it is an old human fighter made available in the market for anyone.

    On other topic, the Hyach Dartha was missing something, I wasn't quite comfortable with it, so I made a small change, I added glow to it, and certainly it gave it a new personality:

    Hi guys, thank you both for the update on the fact that I missed a post :blush:

    Here's what I'll do, I'll keep the Zephir Delta-V as the Alacan Delta-V for the following reasons.
    The Alacans have no fighters.
    They've managed to construct a large command ship that can hold fighters.
    The Zephir was a design from EA that never went into full production by them, instead they sold the designs to any race that wanted them so they could build them themselves.
    The Alacans purcased said designs and put the Zephir into production.

    The Kor-Lyan were listed on the League civ with a Homeworld and two other colonies. The Krish had only a Homeworld. Technically the same as the Pak'Ma'Ra who also only have a homeworld. I've fleshed out the colony names for the 3 league factions with some names I made up myself.

    One thing I forgot to mention is the lack of Leaderheads for the Aggressive League worlds. At the moment we have the Hyach and the Llort. Initially the Llort weren't mentioned under the Aggressive faction or any other faction for that matter. As there Leaderhead was stated as an Aggressive Leaderhead I've added the Llort to this Faction even though they have no representative ships.

    Premier has not yet released this ship, sorry.

    In additional news I have located a Map of the B5 Universe I was provided with some time ago by a poster on here. There are many other League and Independent worlds that have yet to be included in the Mod.
    Here are some of them:
    Kor-Lyan
    Tal'Kona-sha
    Corillani
    Tikar
    Torta
    Moradi
    Trakallan
    Antareans
    Golians

    How many of these have ship designs available I do not know nor do I know if there are any available leaderheads (pictures from the TV show) that we could use for them.
    If the answer to both of these questions is yes there is a possibility of expanding the 3 League factions into more.
    For example the Aggressive League Worlds could become Aggressive Attack League Worlds and Aggressive Defence League Worlds. Alternatively they could be Aggressive (A) League Worlds and Aggressive (B) League Worlds.
    It's a moot point if there are no leaderheads or ship designs to use.

    2.9 is the most recent.

    3.0 will incorporate all the new ship models as well as the restructed League Worlds. I'm also hoping to have added in a lot more events but these are the last thing on my to do list for now.

    Agreed.

    Indeed the Llort have no ship... I have no knowledge of ships of their making, it is hard to find reliable info (or any at all) regarding the smaller league races, here is something (from the Into The Fire game): http://www.firstones.com/b5games/sim/sim_b5galaxy_races.html

    Indeed, I haven't released it yet, but if PsiCorps beats me into releasing 3.0 before the 16th pack is available, well, you can get it from there.

    Some of those races are known to me, but most are unknown. The Tal'kona-sha AFAIK are an "almost first one" species that controls space near the Dilgar, their ships are not crewed, I think there is a couple of designs for them, but given this species power and ... ancientness. This is pretty much I know about them.

    The Moradi AFAIK are a species featured in one of the Crusade episodes, the one in which Gideon and Dureena infiltrate a "slave-market" and rescue a guy carrying the knowledge (mainly artistic) from their race in data crystals. There is a cruiser and a shuttle for them (maybe even a fighter).

    The others I do not know, may be they a mentioned somewhere in the show, but I cant remember.

    Hi all
    I've been busy sorting out the new League factions and now I've finished it I've tried to load the Mod up only to find it failing to load.

    I'm positive I know why it is crashing I just don't know how to fix it.

    The last released version (2.9) had 11 Civs and worked fine. The version I am working on now has only 10 Civ's.

    The Gaim, Markab, Pak'Ma'Ra and LoNaW Civ's have become League Balanced, League Pacifist and League Aggressive. To do these changes was simple enough except when it came to the text files.

    I could have left the text files alone but this would have caused problems down the line for any other Modders who wanted to make some changes. So I changed the names of 3 of them and deleted the other. Now the mod won't load.

    Is there a file that gets loaded before the XML files that says what file names it is looking for or should I do something simpler, like changing the file names back to Gaim, Markab and Pak'Ma'Ra?

    Text files should not interfere with the mod loading, at least not in such a bad way.

    Do you use the standard dll? Or does FF+ come with its own?
    Because using a debug dll could speed up the debugging process, and we have a standard debug dll, or TC or GE are probably also able to compile one.

    I use the dll that comes with FF+.

    There is a dump file when the mod fails to load which I haven't yet looked at. I'd need to understand what I was looking for before I started looking. I was tired last night when this happened, I'll have a look at it tonight when I get home and see if I can figure out from the dump files what the issue might be.

    I'm not sure if they are really useful :dunno:.
    And believe me: You should ask TC01 or God-Emperor if they have somewhere a debug dll, that makes it really easier.

    Problem fixed and the work progresses. I'm adding the events I wanted into the Mod now. Once the events are in I have to go back to the ships that Premier recently made and ensure they are all working correctly, Buttons, Combat animations etc.

    I am new to this mod, may I know what is the procedure to install this mod? Is it I have to install final frontier plus 1.8/1.81, and then paste the file within the Babylon 5 into the final frontier plus folder?
