a billion strong: immortal

so those who know me know i have already achieved 1 billion people. the difference with this game is i'm going for this goal on immortal rather than noble difficulty.

as before, game settings are Chinese empire, huge map, tropical, low, big and small, massive continents, islands, islands mixed in, epic speed. i must confess i have very little practice for any difficulty higher than noble. so this will most probably take more than one try.
my plan of "attack" is to get civil service then biology as quickly as possible.

so here's my start, and already doesn't look very promising.

lots of plains, and not much starting river, still i do have wheat nearby as well as sheep. both good for early growth. i think I'll pop the goodie hut, then place my warrior in a nearby forest for barb defense. as for production i usually start with a worker however since i don't know how challenging this is gonna be i think i'll start with a warrior.

so i went for mysticism first since i'm not going for a quick worker. i figure i might as well try for polytheism for an early religion. i plan on getting monarchy fairly quickly anyway.

i'm sending my second warrior to scout around my boarder, and am building a 3rd warrior to defend my city.

well i got beat to hindu, but i kinda expected that.

i go for animal husbandry after poly, and my scouting warrior dies in a forest to a barb bear.

i discover horse right next to me!!

i go for bronze working next so i can chop some settlers/workers.

i go for wheel next, no bronze nearby that i can see.

as my second settler finishes, i decide to have him head west, theres not much to the east except barbs.
